- To lead an effective HR service, managing performance and output closely to align with business objectives.
- To provide a professional, effective, efficient and generalist support service, both individually and through the team to all levels of management, colleagues and employees of the business on matters relating to employment legislation, employment welfare, training and development, organisational design, change management and remuneration.
- Be the first port of call for consultation on strategic people matters, working closely with and as part of the senior leadership team.
- Manage and mitigate litigation risks through comprehensive and pragmatic case management.
- Upskilling the People Coordinator, coaching and supporting their learning.
- Active involvement in the budget process for the business e.g. salary review and responsibility for key HR budgets recruitment, training and development, etc.
- Partner with line managers to review employee relations, performance management, resourcing and staff management.
- Conducting investigation, disciplinary and grievance hearings, including interface with trade union representatives where applicable.
- Knowledge of current statutory regulations within HR
- Level 5 CIPD Qualified (desirable)
- Highly emotionally intelligent
- Resilient and excellent at forming relationships
- Persuasive and assertive personality
- Computer literate
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently on maintenance tasks
- Full UK driver's license
