The Role:


  • Madison Berkeley are thrilled to be working with one of the UK's most ambitious and innovative investment and development companies. They now have a unique opportunity for someone to take responsibility for Commercial (Retail and F&B) Asset Management on a very prestigious city centre scheme. This role will help shape and deliver Asset Management strategy across the site tasked to deliver long term sustainable value growth as well as short term results. Strong longer term career opportunities exist to manage multiple schemes in the future.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop, gain approval and deliver an innovative asset management strategy for a large and complex scheme
  • P&L Responsibility, maximising the financial performance and total returns of the asset / estate pulling all levers to increase top line growth, diversify revenues, manage assets and accelerate value accretive initiatives key performance indicators include footfall, occupancy, GRI, NRI, valuation and total return
  • Develop, agree and deliver a leasing and placemaking strategy with a diverse and engaging tenant mix
  • Deliver against the company's wider sustainability strategy, including implementation of asset specific net zero asset plan
  • Develop a strong relationship with JV Partners
  • Drive asset transformation strategy by embracing innovation and incorporating alternative uses and new income streams into the asset plan

Requirements:


  • At least 3 years Commercial (Retail or Office or a mix) Asset Management experience, with a very commercial outlook they are looking for someone who really understands how to drive value through placemaking and creating amazing destinations, which in turn drives value growth
  • Some development / refurbishment experience as part of wider asset management role is highly beneficial
  • Entrepreneurial with strong financial expertise, who can back up asset plans with strong cash flow models
  • Approachable and collaborative able to influence and coordinate a team of peers as well as stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a desire to improve the financials of all deals, whilst also securing agreement
