VIVO has developed a strong Energy and Sustainability team led by the Director of Energy and Sustainability, and we now have an exciting opportunity for a new Sustainability Manager to join our friendly and successful team at DSTL in Wiltshire.

Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the Sustainability Manager will support VIVO operations with guidance and solutions to ensure work activities of VIVO employees and their subcontractors do not impact on the environment by monitoring and advising that all works are completed complying with current regulations and adhering Environmental Operating Procedures held within VIVO and its parent companies.

This role will see you provide the lead and advise on Sustainability on the DSTL Contract, assist with the development and maintenance of the VIVO ISO 14001 Environmental management system, identify and deliver Energy and Sustainability opportunities and manage environmental considerations with cost and community to ensure positive outcomes.

You will also provide Technical support on Sustainable solutions and environmental issues, respond in person to significant environmental incidents on site, complete investigations and produce reports and complete audits/inspections visits to verify compliance to identified compliance concerns.

In addition to this, you will take responsibility for the analysis and production of Sustainability related performance data and reporting, developing communications to develop and deliver sustainability themed communication training and awareness to operatives and site staff, delivering a programme of periodic operational visits to measure the effectiveness in implementing VIVO's Sustainability Plans and Programmes, and implementing measures to reduce the production of waste through works and where this is not possible, maximising the waste recovery.

This role will require regular client and end user contact to manage expectations in line with procedures and contractual requirements and attend contract operational meetings, so it is important that you are able to confidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Liaison with operations, grounds and projects teams will be essential to ensure the contract meets conservation objectives and to support the delivery of sustainability works and projects.

As you will be the face of Sustainability for the contract with extensive client facing responsibility, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to build string working relationships with clients, and internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

You should also have very good presentation skills as well as data analysis and report writing skills.
