    Role Overview:

    As a Data Scientist Contractor, you will be responsible for extracting actionable insights from complex datasets, developing predictive models, and delivering data-driven solutions to solve business challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers, to understand project requirements, analyze data, and provide valuable insights. Your expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization will be instrumental in driving the success of our data-driven initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and requirements, and design appropriate data science solutions.

    Collect, clean, and preprocess raw data from various sources to ensure data integrity and quality.

    Perform exploratory data analysis to gain insights and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.

    Develop and apply statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics techniques to solve complex business problems.

    Feature engineering and selection to optimize model performance and interpretability.

    Conduct hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and other statistical analyses to validate and evaluate the effectiveness of models and solutions.

    Build and deploy scalable and efficient data pipelines to handle large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

    Develop interactive data visualizations and reports to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.

    Collaborate with data engineers and software developers to integrate data science solutions into production systems.

    Monitor and evaluate model performance in real-world scenarios, and iterate on models as necessary to improve their accuracy and robustness.

    Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the organization.

    Document code, methodologies, and findings to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain high-quality standards.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

    Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role, with a track record of delivering successful data-driven projects.

    Strong proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and predictive analytics.

    Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and familiarity with data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

    Solid understanding of data manipulation, data preprocessing, and feature engineering techniques.

    Experience with SQL and working with relational databases.

    Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

    Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib) to communicate insights effectively.

    Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.

    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

    Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business needs into data science solutions.
