Finance Plant Controller/Birmingham/Permanent/Office Based/£65k + Car allowance & quarterly bonus


Ashley Kate are delighted to be supporting a global manufacturing business in their transitioning period as they look to recruit a permanent Finance Plant Controller.


Reporting to the UK Operations Controller, the Finance Plant Controller will be responsible for the overall financial management, SOX compliance & control and the protection of assets for the plant.

This role works closely with the manufacturing manager, plant control teams and the UK financial controller. Maximising returns on financial assets, achieving annual growth in revenue and EBIT targets.

Plant Finance Controller - Main Duties


You will be completing the daily and weekly reporting requirements, forecasting inventory management and month end reports and using this information to fully understand the meaning of PCC toolbox schedules and their implications/impact within the plant.

Itwill also be your responsibility to develop and implement effective plant controlling, forecasting and KPI techniques in conjunction with the daily/weekly reports.

By working closely with plant management and teams as well as designing projects that underlaytangible benefits for the plant

You will also be required to manage total inventory & associated FCA and EBIT impacts with the plant team. Assisting the team in all areas of coaching and development, while ensuring all PCC/Divisional reporting requirements for the plant are delivered on time

Plant Finance Controller - About you

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications or equivalent.
  • Experience in auditing and held finance positions within the manufacturing/facilities management/engineering/logistics industries would be advantageous.
  • A track record of financial control and analysis
  • Proactive individual, with excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • A strong team player with the ability to support and motivate others. Demonstrated leadership and management capability with advanced Excel skills and SAP knowledge or other ERP systems.
  • FP&A background
  • Responsible for driving pipeline projects and business improvements
  • Experience of partnering with Operations Leaders and being integrated in a cross functional team
  • Experience in challenging nonfinancial teams around decision making and supporting in the development of business strategy
