Castle Employment Group are working in partnership with an award-winning venue in the Helmsley area that due to expansions around the F&B offering are looking to bring in a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in the continued progression & development of the food offering on site.

There is a basic salary up to £30k with tips paid on top of this and there are plans to bring in bonus schemes for the chef team based on KPI's such as Food Safety & GP's.

The business is growing are already in the planning stages of a second venue in North Yorkshire so there is great progression & development opportunities for the right chef.

We are keen in speaking to chefs who have a clear passion for food and a strong work ethic, due to the location of the venue transport is essential, but they will consider 4 day working weeks to help with work life balance.

As a Sous Chef your responsibilities would include:
Working in support of the Head Chef to deliver a high quality and consistent product.
Assist in developing the menu and food offering for the venue.
Work in conjunction with other areas of the venue.
Maintaining a clean working environment whilst adhering to food safety & compliance.
Help train & develop junior team members

Requirements:
Knowledge of Food Safety
Similar work experience and fresh food background
Relevant Catering Qualifications including NVQ & Food Safety but can undertake training.
Access to you own transport due to location.
