Salary up to £35,000 basic, up to £60,000 realistic OTE (uncapped)


Based in London, the role of the Event Business Development Manager is to secure sponsorship and delegate revenue across our portfolio of events around the world and maximize the profitability of the events business.

Chambers events, which are held globally, bring together the legal industries leading figures for both forums, seminars and awards, in both a physical and virtual format.

Although based in the UK, there is the possibility of international travel if required for some events.


Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the Global Head of Events and the events team to contribute to the creation of quality, commercially successful event sponsorship models
  • Secure event sponsorship income from existing clients and proactively identify new sponsorship sales opportunities with target companies
  • Sole responsibility for allocated events with the ability to create strong relationships
  • Identify opportunities to crosssell sponsorship packages across the portfolio of events
  • Build and maintain strong external relationships with potential sponsors through telephone calls and securing business meetings
  • With support, creating and preparing sponsorship packages for clients
  • Match events and regions to clients' needs and tailor the packages to suit their business need
  • Share and get involved in the creation of sponsorship ideas in liaison with the Events Director to maximize sponsorship opportunities
  • Ensure that all sponsorship leads are tracked through effective use of the CRM system
  • Project manage new and existing relationships with sponsors to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous growth and development

  • Ability to own a sales cycle from start to finish
  • Knowledge of Legal markets advantageous
  • Sales experience or the ability to demonstrate target achievement
  • Contribute effectively within a team environment
  • Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Strong personal skills, ability to engage and forge strong meaningful relationships
