Gearies Primary School

Practitioner (Learning Support Assistant)

Gearies Primary School is a friendly and culturally diverse school providing education to pupils aged 311. Due to increased needs, we wish to appoint versatile, enthusiastic and experienced classroom practitioners to provide support to children across the school including those with special educational needs.
We are looking for colleagues who:
enjoy working with children

- have experience of working with children with special educational needs
- have excellent communications skills
- hold GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English Language (or equivalent)
- have a minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant field
- are flexible, enthusiastic and motivated

They will be required to:
- work in collaboration with class teachers
- work under the direction of the Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO)
- contribute to records kept on pupil progress
- cater for the personal needs of children with SEND
