Description
We are looking for a HR Advisor to join our team, Offering Remote or Hybrid working from Glasgow OR Edinburgh locations:
Salary - £30,000 - £40,000 pro-rata
4 months fixed term contract
Monday - Friday - 09:00 - 17:00

As a HR Advisor, you will be joining a busy and fast-paced team supporting the Branch Network with substantial changes across contracts and employment.


Ideally, you will have strong experience within employment law & practices to provide professional advice on a range of employee or management queries, prioritise workloads and deliver analytical approaches to problem solving for the wider business.


HR Advisor - The Role:

To maintain effective relationships with on-site managers and representatives to provide a supportive proactive HR service to meet the needs of the business;

To Support managers and supervisors across operations on complex HR issues including consultations, redundancies, disciplinaries, grievances, dismissals and other ER issues.

provide support for general HR enquiries, escalating appropriate enquiries to the Business Unit Head and Head of HR where appropriate.

Assisting in the development, implementation and employee adherence of Company Policies, Procedures and Plans.

Management of sickness absence, including occupational health referrals and long-term sick and subsequent return to work meet and absence review meetings.

To advise and manage enquiries relating to maternity and paternity leave.
Proactively reporting and advising Management teams with regards to any employment trend issues.
Any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Business Unit Head or Head of HR


HR Advisor - The Person:

CIPD Qualified HR Professional or 2 + years' experience within HR Administration
Experience of working within a multi-site operation and HR department at advisory level.
To possess a good understanding of current employment laws and practices.
To possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
To display excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and personable in difficult situations.
Have excellent organisation skills and understand the importance of prioritising daily work requirements.
To be able to use initiative when problem-solving, taking an analytical and methodical approach to your daily duties.
To remain flexible with regards to non-routine tasks, and any cover necessary for absent colleagues.
