Position Summary Perform structural analysis and design of various sizes of metal storage tanks from bolted to welded, liquid and dry bulk storage, various options and roofing structures, anywhere from 8 to 250 ft in diameter and 8 to 200 ft tall.

Responsible for engineering design; supporting sales, drafting and manufacturing on quotes and orders. Also required to review drawings and/or provide design calculations as needed. Review and stamp drawings and calculations. Assist other engineers as needed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform liquid bolted tank design, tank foundations, and structural calculations.
Review, approve and stamp drawings and structural design calculations.
Perform designs on time for sales requests and sales orders according to the schedule.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or


EXPERIENCE:
~ Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school.
~ Professional Engineering license(s) in Structural and/or Civil engineering required.
~ Multiple PE licenses is a plus
~ SE license is a plus and/or multiple SE licenses. Will pay higher salary for SE.
~ CA or IL SE license a plus. Will pay higher salary for these licenses.
~$10K additional annual salary for CA SE.
~$3K additional annual salary for IL or OR SE.
~ Basic ACAD and/or solid modeling experience a plus
~ Basic Excel macro programming experience a plus
~ Willing to travel 10% of time
~ Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
~ Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment
~ High proficiency with computers skills, including email, MS Office 365


WORK ENVIRONMENT
Modern office is well equipped with essential facilities.
Most work days are 9 hours. Workload can range from 8 to 12 hrs per day as business ramps up and down.
