An industry leading and globally recognised PC and Mobile gaming provider is looking for several Junior to Principal level Lighting Artists to help develop a brand-new 3rd person game in partnership with a reputable studio.

This is an excellent opportunity to form part of an innovative and dynamic team as part of a newly established project, funded by one of the best in the business


Collaborating across several teams, you will be pivotal in creating first class experiences for players through perfecting attractive and unique environments, helping to define overall gaming interaction.


Working as part of the design department as an Environment Artist, you will:

  • Create environment art and assets in such a way that not only does the art tell a story but looks visually amazing as well.
  • Collaborate with codevelopers and the Art Director on creating a unique stylized world
  • Collaborate with the design department on environments that attract and immerse the player, while facilitating the player's use of compelling movement, traversal, combat mechanics in addition to vehicles.
  • Ensure technically sound content within the requirements including collision.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with other members of the environment art team using Miro, Slack, Jira and video calls.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that any bugs or issues that require addressing are communicated effectively.

To be considered for the Environment Artist role, you must have:

  • A portfolio of work: Art Station, Behance, Personal website etc.
  • Strong traditional art skills: a good understanding of composition, shape, colour and light
  • Good technical skills using software including MAYA, Substance, Photoshop, Zbrush (or equivalent) and Unreal Engine.
  • A good understanding of modern workflow and art pipelines.
  • Passionate about creating games and delivering the highest quality Art.
  • A selfmotivated, cando attitude, quick learner and problem solver.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: the abilities to communicate positively and effectively. Proactively seeks and acts on feedback from peers.
