    Job summary

    An exciting opportunity has risen for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our endoscopy team.

    Endoscopy is a developing area of work with exciting developments coming in the future. Our team currently delivers excellent patient focused care within the acute hospital setting as well as a satellite room within the community.

    The role will involve working between the acute Ipswich site and our satellite room within the Grove Medical centre in Felixstowe, until further developments are made within the acute site. This will include being part of the upper GI bleed out of hours on call rota.

    Main duties of the job

    Prepare the theatre room including the setting up of equipment, gathering the supplies required for specific procedures, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum.

    Ensure the Patient Records are completed in a timely and accurate way.

    Act as role model / preceptor for student Nurses, learners, junior nurses and HCAs, where appropriate and participate in teaching within your sphere of knowledge).

    Perform different roles including circulating or patenting within the theatre. Admitting and consenting patients prior to procedure, recovering patients within recovery and discharging patients.

    Be part of collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other healthcare professionals in the organisation.

    Organise own time and be responsible for appropriate delegation of staff and duties.
