Accounts Manager opportunity offering long-term career progression potentially to Director level within a leading Chartered Accountancy & Business Advisory Practice.

This leading Chartered Accountancy & Business Advisory practice has established offices across all UK regions and a particularly strong presence in Manchester and the Northwest.

The firm is a full solution practice, providing SME and Corporate clients withAudit, Accounts, Tax Advisory, M&A / Corporate Finance, Corporate Insolvency & Recovery and fully Outsourced Financial Management solutions.

THE OPPORTUNITY

An Accounts Manager opportunity has arisen within the firm's Bolton office which will involve responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients and overseeing junior staff within the accounts, VAT & bookkeeping team.

This role is a key position within theoffice Management Team and you can expect future career progression both within the office and the wider firm potentially to Director level.

As Accounts Manager duties & Responsibilities will include:

Managing a portfolio of small business clients (c.£50k
£5m t/o)
Managing client relationships and resolving accountancy and tax related queries as the principal client contact
Preparing Year-End Accounts and producing Monthly / Quarterly Management Accounts
Reviewing VAT returns, Bookkeeping work and smaller Accounts jobs prepared by Junior and Semi-Senior staff
Handling referrals and new / prospective clients as they arise in order to grow your client portfolio

THE PERSON
You will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following:

ACA / ACCA Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified (or QBE)
Background within Accountancy Practice (minimum c.5 years experience)
Significant experience of working with and advising SME and Owner-Managed businesses
Good client communication skills
Leadership and Management qualities
