My client is Europe's largest generator of renewable energy from hydro, wind, and solar power. With over 4,600 employees in 18 countries across the globe.

Their aim is to become a leading developer of onshore wind and solar projects, taking on a significantly larger number of projects than before.


The business area European Wind and Solar (E) is responsible for development and ownership of onshore and offshore wind and solar assets in Europe.

The business area is also responsible for the project execution of large projects, the group procurement function and development of new business opportunities.


They are now expanding in a number of European markets and need a Consenting Lead for their Offshore Team to work on a variety of Offshore projects.

You will report to the Head of Offshore, Ireland.


Job Description:

As Consenting Lead, Offshore, your main responsibilities will be:
Support and work with the Offshore project team to deliver EIA and provide consenting advice.

Coordination of project team including external consultants, contractors and service providers.

Ensure continuous planning and follow up of cost, time and programme.

Ensure internal communication, co-operation and co-ordination between the different staff members of the Project and with the EIA Consultant.

Ensure efficient and regular project meetings and recording of minutes and agreed actions.

This includes (but is not limited to) general internal project reporting, tracking of project spend & progress, tracking of project payments & variations and various project management documentation compilation and maintenance.

Manage the tendering processes for small works packages.

Manage the inputs from technical design team to finalize the design of the project.

General contribution to the development of Offshore competence, including development and maintenance of high environmental and HSE standards.


Qualifications:


Your profile:

University qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related fields with documented extensive experience.

Varied offshore consents and licensing experience ideally across multiple sectors through different phases of development particularly early development phase.

Experience in coordinating specialist technical input to deliver carefully considered, high quality EIA's for in the marine sector.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

An established network in the offshore industry would be beneficial.

Experience of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

Strong commercial awareness


Independent self-starter with a clear ability to manage a large workload, often providing support to processes managed by colleagues, while prioritising tasks and effectively juggling competing deadlines.


Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or other professional accreditation/ registration with a recognised body would be desirable.

Excellent communication skills in English.
