    Are you a confident, motivated sales person with a love for books?

    We have an opportunity for a confident and commercially aware Key Account Executive to join our Sales team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

    With our ambitious sales and strategic plans, this is an ideal time to join the UK Adult Non Trade Sales team. You'll be responsible for managing some of the key Non Traditional customer accounts in addition to pitching out for new business opportunities and bringing in new retailers.

    Day-to-day you'll build relationships with key internal and external stakeholder and work with buyers to curate unique title ranges; with a focus on achieving growth with the accounts you support.

    Eager to share customer insight, you'll provide regular feedback about our trading and market position to the wider Sales team and publishing houses. Establishing and maintaining productive relationships will come naturally to you.

    You'll manage the supply chain alongside the internal Editorial, Inventory, Finance, Production and Distribution teams, as well as external customer relationships, demonstrating a high level of customer care and interpersonal skills.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Maintain an in-depth understanding of each account – including their marketplace USP and how best to utilise this
    • Curating our lists for suitable titles to present to each account, compiling title information and samples and leading sales presentations for key customers
    • Liaising with Production and Inventory Management on costings and deliveries
    • Liaising with Editorial and Design to obtain material for presentations
    • Liaising with our Sales Ops and finance teams to ensure that orders meet required margins, deliver and invoice in a timely manner
    • Assist running and maintaining team spreadsheets and reports where relevant
    • Daily admin support including: raising Purchase Orders, use of industry specific software and maintaining spreadsheets and databases; cost chasing & invoice chasing; reporting; clearing permissions and royalties for Non-Trade customers; order processing

    What you'll bring to the role:

    Proactive and bursting with ideas, you'll bring energy and an entrepreneurial mind-set to the role and the rest of the team.

    You'll be an excellent communicator and be confident with persuading others. An eye for numbers is essential.

    You'll need solid, prior experience in a sales environment in order to be considered for this role, as well as strong administration skills and an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

    We would ideally like you to have experience working within a publishing setting.

    Hybrid working: While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect that you will work from the office, based in London, three times a week (usually Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and work the remaining days remotely.
