Underwriting Operations Business Partner - About the role
Responsible for the risk administration service delivery (data quality and timeliness) by the Outsourced Business Partner, and Underwriting Operations to the Property & Casualty Underwriting Teams.
Underwriting Operations Business Partner - Key duties
Oversight of the risk administration Standard Operating Procedures, process flow charts and controls relevant to specified Underwriting Teams. Amend documentation annually, or whenever business change is planned.
Act as the key contact, co-ordinator and point of escalation between the specified Underwriting Teams, Underwriting Operations and the Outsourced Business Partner.
Responsible for the management and training of the Underwriting Operations Team members who support the specified Underwriting Teams.
Standardise services alongside other Underwriting Operations Business Partners who are responsible for different Underwriting Teams, to create flexibility in operational support model during peak periods and business needs.
Monitor daily / weekly / monthly KPIs updating Senior Operations and Underwriting Management. Ensure PAS workflows remain in service and maintain a high level of data quality.
Monitor data quality entry by the Outsourced Business Partner and Underwriting Operations Assistants in PAS via sample checks and exceptions reports.

Support the Board to maintain a corporate culture, policies and procedures that pay due regard to the interests of customers and treats them fairly at all times.
Underwriting Operations Business Partner - Key requirements
Familiar with London Market Insurance processes and systems (bureau and non-bureau). Knowledge of Business Partner Outsourcing to transfer and monitor tasks on and offshore.
Proficient in Microsoft products. Technical authorship of Standard Operating Procedures, process maps and controls. Analytic capabilities to action exception reports, track and report KPI progress.
Desirable
Prior experience as a SME during change projects and adoption of new processes.
