    JOB TITLE: Warehouse and Logistics Admin Apprentice

    SITE LOCATION: Telford

    HOURS: 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday

    REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor

    Job Purpose:

    To assist the warehouse management in the smooth running of the DC office

    Key Accountabilities:

  • Answer and deal, where possible with incoming phone calls
  • Control traffic of visitors to site via the barrier phone
  • Control the paperwork and signing process for customer collections, representing the company professionally at all times
  • Print and collate paperwork for carrier pick ups
  • Manage the printing process of new picking loads and enter accurately onto the daily pick update spreadsheet
  • Register and ship loads as they come in from the shop floor and perform basic checks to investigate nil items
  • Accurate and efficient recording of key KPI information into warehouse trackers (Pick rates & Accuracy rates)
  • Manage the reporting of MHE defects and chase overdue repairs
  • Assist the stock supervisor, warehouse supervisor and operations manager in general administrative functions as appropriate
  • Attend warehouse stock takes.
  • Strive to continuously improve the operation sharing good practice and new initiatives with the wider warehouse management team
  • You will be required to carry out any reasonable request asked of you, by your Supervisor.
  • Highlight any Health & Safety issues to the Supervisor immediately. It is your responsibility to ensure you perform all your tasks in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company Health & Safety rules and working practices, reviewing and improving processes which include risk assessments and safe systems of work processes.
