Food Technology Teacher | North London, Barnet | ASAP Start


This role provides you with the perfect opportunity to use your passion to empower young generations and help create a safe environment for learning.

Using cooking as a creative outlet to allow the kids to express themselves in more effective ways, willhelp them to handle their emotions in new ways, developing the skills they need for an incredible future.


THE SCHOOL


The school is a PRU based in Barnet, which helps educate and support Children aged between 5-19 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and additional complex behaviours.


THE ROLE
Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, working with individual and small groups of pupils in a school maintaining a strong safeguarding culture where pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible


You will plan and deliver engaging learning daily, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom.

Working as a teacher at this school, you can work creatively, making the most of all the extensive resourcesand expert support they have available.


REQUIREMENTS

  • A passionate teacher and a great communicator
  • Being comfortable talking to children and young people
  • Help to build caring relationships
  • Ability to liaise with fellow professionals
  • Have excellent written English skills
  • A passion for working in collaboration with other members of our multidisciplinary team
