Description

Lead, provide and develop a clinical pharmacy service for stroke patients at UHCW NHS Trust
Lead a pharmacy team to help operationally and clinically deliver pharmaceutical services to the stroke ward
Work closely with the pharmacy neurosciences team, along with other relevant surgical and medical pharmacists, supporting and covering, while developing services together
Work with other healthcare providers both in the community and at other hospital sites where UHCW NHS Trust is the regional hub for acute stroke services
Be responsible for all aspects of medicines optimisation including the cost-effective use of drugs and support of anticoagulation prescribing within stroke services, ensuring stroke patients receive safe, effective and timely drug therapy
Lead on the provision of education to other healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical aspects of treating and managing stroke

Be responsible for the development of policies, guidelines, audits (both financial and clinical) and research relating to the use of medicines and devices with stroke services.
