- To carry own designated caseload (under supervision) and meet regularly with supervising clinician to review work.
- To work independently with individuals with a diagnosis of ADHD, some of which may have other comorbidities or low level mental health difficulties.
- To highlight changing needs to wider service issues affecting an individual's care to line manager.

- To contribute to the preparation and running of training.

- NVQ Level 4 or HND qualification in child/social studies, Health or Education or Social Services or equivalent.
- Level 3 will be considered if individual has considerable practical experience.

- Good knowledge of legislation, acts and developments relevant to the field of children and mental health.
- Able to work autonomously and as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Practitioner to work within the Lancaster and Morecambe ADHD Service. You'll be part of an MDT providing holistic needs led and evidence based assessments with the children and young people referred into the ADHD service. You will support the specialist ADHD nurses in progressing children and young people through the ADHD pathway and on-going reviews and monitoring of those prescribed medication.
We are looking for individuals who are trained at NVQ level 4 or HND qualification in child/social studies, Health or Education or Social Services or equivalent. Level 3 will be considered if individual has considerable practical experience. Interest in working with children and young people is a must.
