Interim Group Financial Controller
9-month contract
Inside IR35
£ per day
Hybrid, London with limited travel
Start date before the end of Feb

This is a key Group Financial controller role that is critical to the business's ongoing improvements programme and growth strategy.

This role is working in a £500 million turnover global business with 100+ entities worldwide.

The role will manage all the key teams across the finance function delivering robust financial reporting and data to shape strategy to allow the group to continue its growth and development.

The business is going into a phase in which it will be improving processes, embarking on key systems projects, upgrades and mapping out future-proof finance structures.

The key areas this group financial controller will manage include:

  • Ensuring the Group maintains a strong financial control environment
  • Manage the financial control, FP&A, Tax, Treasury & SSC finance teams
  • Review of the monthly financial pack for Executive and Board reporting
  • Review of the consolidation of monthly reporting of budgets and forecasts
  • Process & Control Improvements maintaining and developing controls in support of the Finance Systems Team and shared service centres
  • Contribute to the development of the departmental strategy and objectives
  • Manage and coordinate the annual corporate business plan and budget process
  • Treasury and cash management
  • Oversee the production of a suite of monthly and quarterly financial and nonfinancial reports, including budgets, actuals and forecasts
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements and external audit process, including all global subsidiaries
  • Manage the relationship with external auditors.
  • Responsibility for global Tax submission
The key skills the business is looking for include:

  • Qualified Accountant with substantial experience leading large global finance functions
  • Experience managing large projects across systems improvement, process redesign, Share service centre improvements and automation
  • Worked in companies with complex entity structures globally
  • Managed large teams of 50+ direct and indirect reports
  • Ability to adapt strategy and navigate complex projects
