Reporting to the appropriate Head of Software Engineering, the post holder will be responsible for

Leading and managing a delivery team within Software Engineering; managing people and technical deliverables, ensuring risks are effectively captured, managed and mitigated
Setting and tracking goals and objectives for the team and ensuring resource and skills are matched to demand
Recruiting, mentoring and developing staff ensuring appropriate training is in place for key skills to be developed and keep pace with technology changes
Supporting the Software Engineering senior leadership team in delivering the ITD strategy and vision by ensuring the work of the team is prioritised in alignment with that strategy and vision

This is a key role within the team where the postholder is expected to use significant influencing and collation skills to ensure the design and implementation of solutions that meet business requirements
