    35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time, plus one week)

    Hours: Mon –Friday 7.30am – 3.00pm

    Actual Salary – £23,302 to £24,531

    We are seeking a Catering Manager who will be committed to serving our students and staff by providing imaginative, healthy food options through breakfast, break and lunch service.

    Our Catering Manager will be happy working in a busy school kitchen environment, have excellent interpersonal skills and a clear understanding of working within budgets, be able to work within set procedures and be an excellent team player. You will also be comfortable dealing with students and staff.

    We welcome applications from candidates with experience of catering for large numbers, experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage. The Catering Manager will be supported by a Deputy and team of assistants. The role will involve meal planning and preparation, procurement of ingredients and supplies and working with the School Business Manager to develop opportunities for growth of the service provided.

    Our schools operate a cashless catering system and the successful applicant will be expected to use the till system to enable efficient service. A current Food Hygiene qualification would be advantageous but full training will be provided. The role will be mainly based at Notre Dame Plymouth but there may be a requirement to work at St Boniface's College as needed as the 2 schools work closely together. Liaison with the Catering Manager at St Boniface's College to establish joined up thinking and collaboration will be essential.
