Commercial Manager - United Kingdom - Moston
Description
The purpose of this role is to implement commercial best practices aimed at maximizing value and minimising risk and cost within the business.
Role Responsibilities:
Implement commercial processes to realise contractual entitlementsImplement group commercial processes for cost capture, valuation, procurement, and reportingManage subcontractor accounts in line with agreed subcontract documentationEstablish benchmarks and manage KPIs for contractsPrepare commercial reports including cost value reconciliations and cash flow forecastsExercise full cost control of projects, including budgeting and forecastingLead the production of weekly/monthly cost and value reconciliations and forecastsAssist in ensuring timely issuance of all notices required under contractsManage all aspects of subcontract procurement and paymentSupport tender processes and strategyProvide commercial and financial feedback to relevant support functionsMaintain professional relationships with stakeholdersProvide all necessary cost/commercial information under contractsSubmit applications for payment and change requests in a timely mannerProvide commercial and contractual advice to team membersPromote a team-working environment and instill commercial awarenessManage and develop individuals within the commercial teamUndertake Performance Development Reviews for direct reportsPromote safety culture and participate in regular project meetingsRequirements:Degree qualification in quantity surveying/commercial management or equivalent experienceProficiency in basic computer skillsStrong commercial and financial acumenAbility to manage time, set priorities, and work to strict deadlinesMethodical working styleProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and WordDesire to foster client relationships while safeguarding contractual entitlementsTeam player with a determination to coach junior team membersMotivation and drive to succeedAbility to work under pressureStrong communication and negotiation skillsSound knowledge of contracts and industry issuesAwareness of health, safety, and environmental concernsIOSH Managing Safely certification
