    Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, hybrid

    Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join our Strategy team for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

    The Business Development Manager, is responsible for developing commercial propositions and partnership that drive volume and revenue growth for Cleveland Clinic London. This includes ownership of overall engagement and planning to support the development of productive relationships with a range of external key stakeholders.

    The Business Development manager reports to the Head of Business Development and will partner with clinical and functional teams across the organisation on various projects.

    The area the role will be focusing on is Corporate, sports and Concierge Medicine.

    What will your duties include?

  • Leads on tactics to drive self-pay growth, in collaboration with marketing, finance and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop tactics focussed around key areas of corporates, sports, intermediaries, concierge and referral partners.
  • Leads strategic business relationships, partnerships and networking opportunities with key entities.
  • Develops long term and annual commercial growth plans for key business development areas of responsibility; provides appropriate regular reporting to the Head of Strategy and Business Development and Business Development Committee.
  • In collaboration with clinical and operational colleagues, develops new propositions and products for customers, payer groups and clinical partners. Leads business case planning for these initiatives.
  • Oversees and implements the delivery of new clients and contracts.
  • Builds and delivers sales presentations to decision makers and /or supports the wider delivery of CCL representatives to prospective clients.
  • Account manage and assess existing accounts and clients and assist implementation of changes as needs are modified.
  • Proactively scans the healthcare market, including setting and developing targets, and competitor/customer landscape for relevant business development opportunities.
  • Monitors healthcare policy environment and develops responses to key consultations that influence business development requirements.
  • Support Head of Business Development to ensure that business development policies, systems, structures and approaches are fit for purpose and compliant.
  • Develops an annual series of tailored promotional materials, activities and awareness programs to create demand for Cleveland Clinic and relevant services in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Represents Cleveland Clinic at trade fairs, seminars and educational conferences where networking and marketing and/or sales opportunities exist.
  • Support the head of Business Development and collaborate with the wider BD team on all key initiatives to drive growth for CCL.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • What we need from you?

  • Demonstrable track record of one or more roles (Significant experience) in healthcare business development is essential
  • Demonstrable track record of commercial negotiation and partnership development is essential
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite Products (Outlook, Word, Excel or PowerPoint), essential
  • Previous experience of working in healthcare services (private or NHS) essential
  • Previous experience of working with senior stakeholders highly desirable
  • Previous experience of running cross-functional projects highly desirable
  • Experienced in and comfortable with key contract terms, reimbursement methodologies and commercial negotiation.
  • Experienced in and comfortable with the preparation and delivery of formal and informal presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
