Our client, a specialist conservatory roof manufacturer and supplier are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join their team in Blackburn.

The main duties of the role are to oversee a team of 16 factory operatives planning, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of the production process to ensure all products are produced to the specification, on time and within budget.

Main duties:

• Plan the production schedule to achieve high productivity and cost efficiencies, meet and exceed targets
• Ensure H&S procedures are followed
• Ensure maintenance of machinery is scheduled, results recorded and organise repairs
• Ensure stock levels are maintained in the factory and carry out a stock check when required.
• Liaise with purchasing dept to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Manage quality control process and performance
• Set, monitor and report KPIs on time in full deliveries
• Ensures that all deadlines are met in a timely manner and colleagues /directors are kept informed of progress
• Create monthly management reports
• Monitor productivity and work towards continuous improvements
• Carry out performance management for your team, incl. appraisals, disciplinaries and return to work interviews.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail skills allowing them to observe and manage quality assurance issues, can work well under pressure and is always on the lookout for ways to improve efficiencies.
