    We are looking for a Nature Based Solutions Design Lead with proven technical capacity and business acumen to join our water team.


    The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a pipeline of projects linking wastewater treatment to reuse in a sustainable way.

    Specific work includes outline and detailed design of projects within a collaborative capital delivery environment and feasibility/optioneering/scoping studies.

    Take the role of technical lead on nature-based solution projects, or programmes of smaller projects, where appropriate.


    • Champion Nature Based Solutions to UK&I Water Clients externally, and AECOM stakeholders internally.
    • Mentor Design Engineers to promote their technical and professional development.
    • Manage a team of Design Engineers to complete design aspects of project delivery.
    • Experience delivering nature-based wastewater designs.
    • Experience of working with a combination of natural capital, systems, nature-based solutions, infrastructure, resilience, sustainability, social and other related multi-benefit approaches.
    • Experience of preparing client proposals, leading on presentations to prospective clients, bidding/tendering for internal and external opportunities and strong commercial awareness
    • Familiar with UK water and environmental regulation
    • Keen interest in developing your technical and commercial skills
    • Project management, client liaison and consulting skills.
    • A working knowledge of project & programme management
    • A working knowledge of contract and commercial management
    Have a university degree (or equivalent) in relevant field.
