    As a Disability Assessor, you'll have a rewarding career using your healthcare expertise in a unique way. You'll conduct clinical assessments for claimants applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) without meeting them in person.

    Job Details:

    • Your role will involve reviewing provided information, including questionnaires, medical records, and input from healthcare professionals. Using this data, you'll create evidence-based reports.
    • These reports will outline the claimant's medical history, current treatments, the impact of their condition on daily life and mobility, and your assessment of their needs. You'll also suggest review timelines and provide recommendations based on the evidence.
    • To qualify, you need at least one year of post-registration experience in nursing, occupational therapy, paramedics, or physiotherapy, and be registered with the HCPC/NMC with an active PIN.
    • Attention to detail, strong comprehension, and excellent writing skills are essential. You'll need a solid understanding of disability and health issues, proficiency in reading complex medical information, and confidence in using computers.

    All training is provided followed by on-the-job mentoring as this is a new type of role for most people joining.

    The starting salary is £35,000 per annum, increasing to £36,000 upon approval, with potential 10% quality bonuses.
