- Working under the supervision of a GP, providing a holistic approach including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to deliver high-quality patient services in the home or practice.
- Work closely together and as part of a wider multi-disciplinary workforce including, GPs, pharmacists, nurses, and social prescribers.
- Use advanced clinical skills to provide education to patients and service users, promoting self-care and empowering them to make informed choices about their treatment.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, refer, or signpost patients with undifferentiated or undiagnosed conditions relating to minor illness or injury, supported by senior clinicians as needed. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications and registrations, either in place or pending:
- A postgraduate degree in Physician Associate Studies from an accredited PA programme;
- Membership of the Faculty of Physician Associates at the RCP, which includes UK Physician Associate Registration (the PA Managed Voluntary Register);
- Current and valid certification or re-certification by the UK Physician Associate National Examination. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience, skills and qualities:
- Experience including preventative medicine and chronic disease management;
- Flexible and adaptable approach to a varied and high-volume workload, with the ability to multi-task and to work under pressure;
- Consistently compassionate and respectful approach, placing a high value on the dignity of patients, relatives, carers and colleagues.

About the RoleBlackwater Medical Centre has a fantastic opportunity for a physician associate (PA) to join our team on a full or part-time basis, as the hours of work can be flexible.
