Description

Purpose:

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for the maintenance planning tasks that support the maintenance team and other departments at the Ryton Facility.

These tasks could ensure statutory or compliance adherence or help to ensure production interruptions are kept to a minimum.

In addition to this there will also be a requirement to support the installation and commission of new manufacturing facilities.


Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the Statutory, Compliance and Service Contract Register and coordinating the activities to ensure completion in the required time frames.
  • Subject Matter Expert for CMMS system.
  • Creation, Modification and Improvement of the Planned Maintenance Schedules to ensure optimised schedules.
  • Development of PdM and CBM activities
  • Management of the Engineering Stores to include; Stock Management, Stock Replenishment, Critical Lineside Stock, Refurbishment Stock.
  • Subject Matter Expert for the MRP System.
  • Sourcing of general and specialist tooling including access equipment to support maintenance activities.


  • Asset Management

  • Tracking to include refurbishment management and storage.
  • Subject Matter Expert for the EAM System.
  • Management of the Technical Library
  • Management of the Equipment BOMs and Drawings
  • Communicates directly with operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas
  • Maintains and updates operating and training for the maintenance department
  • Maintains safety, health and environmental policies and procedures
  • Establishes and maintains a system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment
  • Prepares reports, analyses data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operation and solving maintenance related problems


  • Contractor Management

  • Ensures all contractors are qualified and insured to work, and that activities are conducted safely

Person Specification:

The competencies listed are appropriate to the Maintenance Planner and are an illustration of the qualities that the Company requires:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance planning / contract management capacity in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Detailed knowledge of maintenance process, procedures, and systems
  • Proven ability to manage activities to required timescales and budgets
  • Experience within continuous improvement environment
  • Relevant Engineering / Business Management Qualification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to persuade and influence at all levels
  • Ability to analyse and report data effectively
  • Ability to understand and deliver strategies
  • Proven ability of meeting and exceeding internal and external stakeholder requirements
  • Ability to adapt and respond to change
  • Able to demonstrate ability to achieve objectives and exceed expectations
  • Applicants must have a full UK driving licence
