Trainee Paint Sprayer - Leeds, United Kingdom - Widd Signs
Description
This role is ideal for a recent school leaver, with an interest in a role as a workshop assistant/labourer, to work with the paint spraying team.
This is a good opportunity for someone with an interest in the industry to get a foot in the door, and receive on the job training in painting on an industrial scale.
You will be working in a team of four. The majority of projects carried out are for well-known retailers, so there's a good chance you'll get to see your own work on display- Working in a busy environment, alongside the manufacturing team
- Reporting to the senior paint sprayers
- A combination of wet coat/powder coating. On the job training will be provided
- Manual lifting will be required
- Using up to date equipment, in a modern manufacturing environment
- General duties including keeping the work area clean and tidy
- Helping with prep work, and the sanding, and finishing, of signage
Person Specification
- Eager to learn a new skill, in a key trade
- Ideally some experience working in a manufacturing environment beneficial, but not essential
- Commutable distance to Leeds (LS12)
Job Details
- Hours are 8:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, finish an hour early on Friday. 39 hour week
- Full time, permanent position
- 21 days holiday + bank holidays, including shutdown over the Xmas period
