    We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Flow Coordinator to join our Customer Services team on a bank basis. This role is a based in our Head Office in Central London (NW1 4LJ). We are also offering a competitive salary of £17.44 per hour plus a fantastic array of benefits.

    Job Profile

    The Patient Flow Coordinator will report to the Patient Flow Manager and is responsible for the smooth and efficient admission of patients to the appropriate wards and rooms by careful planning and departmental liaison.

    The Patient Flow Coordinator will be responsible for providing clear and robust operational management whilst delivering high quality customer service with a passion for continuous service improvement.

    • Job Type: This is a part-time, bank position working 19 hours per week.
    • Rota: Thursdays & Fridays 7:30am to 7pm, with opportunities for overtime to cover holiday and sickness.
    • Salary: £17.44 per hour.
    • Location: The London Clinic Main Hospital Site Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW (walking distance from Regents Park and Baker Street tube stations).

    Key Duties

    • To allocate rooms according to the current admission list by planning ahead and working with Ward Managers whilst maintaining high levels of service and quality to patients, consultants and other stakeholders at all times.
    • Check and monitor pre-admission documents in advance to determine insurance cover, self-pay or Letter of Guarantee requirements have been escalated to Patient Liaison.
    • Allocate following days admissions as far in advance as possible with support from Ward Managers.
    • Prepare daily reports on projection figures for bed occupancy and capacity.

    Skills & Experience

    • Demonstrable experience of being a Manager, Team Leader or Supervisor of a Patient Flow, Bed Management or Admissions Office
    • Experience of applying SLAs / KPIs to drive performance is essential.
    • Experience of working in a high pressured, performance driven environment is essential.
    • Working knowledge of inpatient hospital admissions and patient pathways is desirable.
    • Working within an independent healthcare environment / hospital with leadership duties is advantageous.
