    Description

Initial 1-year fixed term contract. Plans to extend this (funding dependant).

Are you compassionate, highly motivated, and determined? Could you dedicate yourself to enabling vulnerable and under-served young people to overcome traumatic childhood experiences, navigate complex life histories and become the best they can be?

The Life Chance Trust is a local charity with a mission to transform the life chances of young people who've experienced social, emotional, behavioural or educational difficulties as a result of childhood trauma and adversity.

Our ideal candidate will bring experience of engaging vulnerable young people face-to-face and working with voluntary and statutory agencies alike. You'll be able to 'hit the ground running', reaching out to young people in Teignbridge, South Devon and beyond.

In return, this role offers significant flexibility and scope to translate your knowledge and experience into exciting new opportunities for young people in need. You can expect a competitive salary, generous leave allowance, staff pension, flexible working and regular supervision.

    Safeguarding

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure for safeguarding purposes, as well as satisfactory professional or personal references.

    Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Life Chance Trust is committed to equality of opportunity, supports and encourages under-represented groups, and values diversity. We want our charity to reflect the diversity of our communities, and so welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, who will bring a fresh perspective, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We will monitor applicants' ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion and age as part of the recruitment procedure. Provision of this information will be voluntary and will not adversely affect an applicant's chances of recruitment or any other decision related to their employment.
