The key responsibilities of a Payroll Officer
will include, but may not be limited to;

Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
Contribute to the team's effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests
Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
Stay updated on current regulations and policies affecting payroll procedures
Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages

The Successful Applicant:

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

Not for Profit and Charities background
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to commute to Bury
Strong numerical skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
