PermanentSRG are working with an established manufacturer of polymer products for a range of applications including flooring, sealants, elastomers and coatings.
Due to an increase in demand and a busy period for the business, they are now seeking a Development & Technical Service Chemist to join their technical team based at their site in West Yorkshire.
This new and exciting role will primarily involving product development, tweaking formulations, providing technical service to clients and supporting in customers trials.
Prospective candidates should hold a degree in Chemistry, polymer science or similar and have proven industrial experience of working with polymer based products, ideally polyurethanes.

Working hours of 37 hours per week, worked between 7.30am and 4pm, Monday to Thursday, with a 1pm finish on Fridays.
Potential opportunities to travel both nationally and internationally.Role / Description Develop, analyse and further develop existing formulas at the request of clientsDevelopment of innovative products as well as improvement of existing formulationsAnalysis and evaluation of new and alternative raw materialsFull recipe responsibilityPlan and Run Customer TrialsTroubleshoot and resolve customer product and application issuesProduce supporting technical documentationRequirementsDegree in Chemistry, Polymer Science (or similar)
