Due to the retirement of one of our team, we now require a Warehouse and Goods Out Assistant to join our team responsible for the picking, packing and despatch of components form our busy manufacturing site in Alton.

Working Mon to Fri with an earlier finishon a Friday with overtime available along with free parking. We have a structured pay scale that increases as your training progresses within the role. Goods out/Despatch

As a priority pick and pack products and components for despatch as instructed by Production Supervisor/Management.

Manage and control all goods and products going out.

Check, inspect and pack all despatch goods and products in according to the company procedures with the priority given to those items identified in the production schedules and despatch paperwork.

Generate and manage all despatch paperwork ready for collection by the carriers or customers.

Manage any goods returned.

Liaise with appropriate departments and customers according to the returns procedure.

Inspect and test manufactured returned product and liaise with purchasing department to ensure distributed products are returned to suppliers for investigation.

Control and organisation within the low level stores area including putting away of products and materials in the designated areas.

Clear finished jobs ready for despatch where applicable.

Driving of the forklift and safe procedures when operating in the warehouse and factory areas.

Ensure a clean and tidy area in goods out, despatch and low level stores.

Review company despatch/good out procedures on an on-going basis and highlight to Supervisor or Management any issues or problems.

General procedure to the company standard procedures as defined in the Quality Manual.

Production Support

Assist with Production build, assembly and/or tasks as and when it is called upon to do.

Support the warehouse and goods in process as and when it is required and instructed by Production Supervisor/Management.
