Night Shift Hygiene Operative - Wellingborough, United Kingdom - Whitworth Bros Ltd
Description
Reporting to the hygiene and facilities manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of hygiene, food safety and general cleanliness of the site.
You will take responsibility and pride for your work area; you will be proactive in identifying areas of continuous improvement.
Shift Pattern:4 on 4 off : 6pm
- 6am (60 minute break)
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Carry out food safety & hygiene checks as required
- Maintain high standards of food safety & health & safety at all times
- Carry out cleaning tasks in accordance with hygiene schedules & cleaning specifications
- Completion of hygiene tasks to high standards
- Completion of hygiene records
- Safe use & storage of cleaning chemicals (COSHH )
- Minimise waste & careful control of Spillages & Traps
- Removal of waste & recycling
- Completion of relevant training as required
- Close liaison & communication with all departments across the site.
- Seek continuous improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
- General use Battery operated sweeper
- Scrubber dryer
- General use Counterbalance & Pump Truck
- Steam cleaning external areas & washing of bins & Pallets
- Loading & unloading recycling trailer
- Cleaning & washing canteen & toilet sanitary areas
Required skills and/or qualifications:
Essential:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Counterbalance forklift, PPT & Stacker truck licence.
Practical requirements:
- To be capable of lifting 16kg to 25kg on a regular basis
- To be Physically capable of climbing ladder.
- To be able to sustain periods of up to 3 to 4 hours standing.
- Physically and medically qualified to drive and operate MHE
- FLT.
Job Types:
