All round role within the small finance division of this financial services business in the City area of London. Suitable for a Part Qualified CIMA or ACCA studier looking to get qualified within their next role. Hybrid working.

Leading financial services business based in London with international reach and offices in EMEA and Asia. Head Office in the City area of London (close to Bank station).


Description


Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a very broad based role covering all aspects of accounts from ledgers to management accounts.


It is essential you are comfortable to undertake a role that is hands on and are able to work in a small and close knit team.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all financial operations within the company including billing, A/R, A/P, general ledger, intercompany
  • Responsible for month end, yearend close and assist with the year end audit process
  • Preparation of timely monthly management accounts for multi entities
  • Administration and reconciliation of corporate bank accounts
  • Prepare Prepayment and accrual reconciliation
  • Establish and maintain financial controls, policies and procedures for the company
  • Assist the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes providing insight and variances analysis.
  • Prepare VAT reconciliation for quarterly submission
  • Prepare quarterly Regulatory Returns (FCA) for review
  • Maintain and manage the Fixed Asset Schedules and post depreciation
  • Provide financial analysis on guidance on all activities, plan, targets and business drivers

Profile

  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with exam passes
  • Good knowledge of multiple A/P subledgers and multicurrency transactions
  • Team oriented; works well with others and diverse groups
  • Excellent excel skills and comfortable manipulating large quantities of data
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Academic profile including educated to degree level with BSc degree ideally in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across business
  • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
