    We are looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable Commercial Manager to come and join our team in Kendal, Cumbria for a 12 month period.

    Key Information

    Title: Commercial Manager

    Location: Kendal, Cumbria

    Hours: 37.5 per week

    Duration: 12 months (Maternity Cover)

    Responsible for: Contracts and Estimating team

    About the role

    The principle responsibilities of this role include:

    • Providing cost effective and integrated commercial support services to ensure the timely fulfilment of customer needs, internal and external.
    • Managing the Contracts and Estimating functions of the Commercial team ensuring that all projected costs are compiled, contribution margins determined, and appropriate caveats drafted by the team prior to submitting offers and/or executing agreements with customers.
    • Coordinating activity across the Commercial team to ensure agreed functional strategies are deployed on time and embedded appropriately within the business.
    • Contractual support and determining the commerciality of TEAMs position for escalations from the Contract and Estimations team.
    • Responsible for ensuring the team deliver commercial compliance of tenders, quotations, term contracts and contract renewals and ensuring compliance with all TEAM processes including business action meetings, quotation approvals, tender submission, and contract reviews.
    • Review departmental processes and procedures with specific focus on the optimum utilisation of resource and improving process efficiency to ensure best practice and implement corrective action where necessary.
    • Working with the Leadership team, bring an ethos of continuous improvement to the department and through effective management and leadership ensure strategies are established to deliver the best commercial practice processes and procedures are embedded throughout the business

    Additional Information

    • This is an office-based role, with occasional travel to customer sites and other TEAM premises
    • Occasional out of hours working may be required e.g. for meetings with others in different time zones.
