    Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Business Services Assistant to work with a Derbyshire-based Local Authority on a temporary basis.

    This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week (Mon - Fri).

    The main purpose of the role is to provide a flexible, agile and responsive business support service across the Authority's Supported Accommodation/Staying Close service.

    The service strengthens support for those leaving care by improving their connection with the community and family, while improving their mental health and wellbeing, while making positive steps towards independence.

    The service also monitors accommodation provision for children in care and care leavers.

    The position will primarily be officed based due to the needs of the service with occasional working from home with line manager approval.

    Provide an effective professional administrative support service to the Supported Accommodation/Staying Closes team and functions in accordance with a range of business procedures and processes, ensuring quality service standards are maintained.

    Carry out a wide range of business services tasks and processes ensuring performance objectives, targets and timescales are met, allocating and prioritising work across the team as the role requires
    Co-ordinate work streams within own area of responsibility to manage peaks and troughs in business need.

    Undertake budget monitoring activities and provide a range of financial data for use in management information reports and accounts reconciliation systems.

    Represent the business support function at relevant internal and external meetings as required.

    Develop and maintain document management and record keeping systems in accordance with standard formats and service requirements ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality requirements.

    Previous administration experience in a Public Sector role, ideally within a Local Authority.
    Car driver, or able to travel to sites across the Derbyshire area.
    Knowledge of Council policies and procedures.
    Previous experience of working with care leavers in a Local Authority setting.
