    Role responsibilities

    The Transport Contracts Manager (Infrastructure Management) will be responsible for managing delivery of the Core Valley Lines (CVL) Infrastructure Agreement for infrastructure management services on behalf of the Authority (Transport for Wales), with Amey Infrastructure Wales, as a key member of the Transport Contracts Team.

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the Infrastructure Agreement (IA) on behalf of TfW by being responsible for managing delivery of and ensuring compliance with the committed obligations and milestones for the Core Valley Lines (CVL) infrastructure management services.
  • Manage compliance processes and record all contract changes relating to the Infrastructure Agreement Infrastructure Management services, from developing any contract change proposals, through to securing approvals by the Authority and Welsh Government, prior to publication of any agreed contract changes to ensure a robust and compliant audit trail.
  • Design and implement contract management systems and processes relating to the IA and other rail contracts associated with the delivery of Infrastructure Management services by AIW, such as contracted interface arrangements, to ensure a compliant contract management provision.
  • Mitigate the financial and commercial risks of the Infrastructure Agreement by recording risks and associated agreements to support delivery of value for money.
  • Manage the approvals process for all financial and commercial payments relating to IM Services under the Infrastructure Agreement, working with the Finance Business Partner to support timely and accurate payments.
  • Who we're looking for

  • Demonstrable experience of managing complex and high value contracts in a regulated environment with a focus on post-contract management.
  • Knowledge of systems and processes ​for effective contract or project management.
  • Experience of commercial negotiations and of drafting, negotiating and documenting contract changes, working with our legal advisers. ​
  • Experience of operating effectively at a senior level and of delivering demonstrable governance.
  • Welsh Language Skills

    The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
