Our Friendly, support Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) has a wonderful opportunity to join its very busy unit as a Ward Clerk / Admin Assistant to support our unit and advise relatives arriving on unit.


Our Surgical Assessment Unit is a very busy but friendly unit that receives patients from Accident and Emergency and direct from GP's therefore we support with acutely ill patient at the beginning of their journey in hospital.


You, as the ward clerk, are often the first face both patients and relative/cares see on arrival to SAU, therefore you need to be friendly, supportive and approachable.


Your role will involve updating Medway and use Teletracking to support unit, answering multiple telephone and transfer calls and arrange follow up appropriately as required.

You will be responsible for filing, ordering paperwork/consumables and arranging follow up when required.

Training will be given.
