    Our Team

    The Natural Power Construction Team help clients to administer contracts and act as their project interface, supervising construction and managing specifications. We provide specific grid and electrical services as well as offering support in the form of civil and structural services, monitoring, witness testing and snagging inspections.

    Safety is always our first priority, and we are proud to include specialist safety consultants in our team. By providing a range of CDM and project safety services we are able to instil best practice to all our construction sites. Our engineering team comprises experts in civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental and geotechnical engineering, they are able to make a project run more effectively and act as on-site representatives if required.

    Main Tasks and Responsibilities

    As the business is expanding, we are looking to strengthen our bid management team to support the construction department as the renewable energy sector continues to grow. The candidate will be working closely alongside the Bid Co-ordinators (and Bid Managers in other departments), technical staff within the department and senior management to lead the bid process as required.

    The Bid Manager is accountable for the management and delivery of high-quality bid submissions in order to maximise opportunities to win new work. This will involve working with technical and senior management teams, coordinating activities to deliver successful results and managing client procurement processes.

    Duties of the post could vary from time to time as a result of new legislation and changes in technology or policy.

  • To manage all bids, with support from Technical Leads and Dept Director, and coordinating the required approvals before bid submission.
  • Managing internal and external resources (i.e. specialist sub-contractors) as required to complete submissions including liaison with subject matter experts (sales, solutions, legal, finance, marketing etc) for their input to the bid.
  • Working alongside the Bid Co-ordinators to keep track of bid deadlines and to be responsible for the Bid Tracker document/system.
  • Compiling tender documents, including formatting and maintaining version and quality control
  • Writing engaging and creative bids and proposals that articulate our solution and differentiate us from the competition. This includes PQQs, RFIs, ITTs, RFPs,. RFQs and presentations, ensuring a tailored response for each situation.
  • Creation of pricing templates, including preparation and management of cost estimates.
  • Drafting of pre-qualification responses and co-ordinating tender responses/clarifications as a point of contact for prospective clients.
  • Assist with NDA and contract negotiations, in collaboration with Natural Power's in-house legal team and Dept senior management.
  • Collaboration with the admin team and project managers, to ensure project handovers are delivered effectively once a contract has been agreed.
  • Tender portal monitoring including identifying new opportunities.
  • Working collaboratively with bid team personnel in other technical departments, to support and strengthen the bid process and overall business success.
