    Are you an experienced neonatal nurse looking for an exciting career opportunity? We are currently looking to recruit Band 6 nurses to join our transport team.


    PaNDR (Paediatric and Neonatal Decision Support and Retrieval Service) is the neonatal and paediatric retrieval service for the East of England.

    Providing expert critical care to neonates and children up to the age of 16 years with a variety of medical and surgical conditions both at their referring hospital and in the ambulance en-route to their new care centre.

    You will also develop and deliver with the MDT outreach learning to our service users across the region.

    A full induction process is provided with competencies surrounding the transport situation and equipment. Shifts include rotation between our 6 teams which cover each 24 hours, 365 days of the year.
    You will be responsible for providing direct clinical care to infants requiring emergency and elective transfer.

    Team working ability and leadership skills will be used to ensure safe and effective delivery of the service for staff, parents and babies according to the CUH Trust values and behaviours.

    First Level Registration with the NMC
    Neonatal Critical Care qualification
    Safeguarding level 3

    Enhanced Nursing Skills Qualification (ENP)
    Degree in relevant health related subject
    Tertiary level Neonatal Nursing experience
    Shift leader experience
    Experience of being involved in governance processes which help to development the service and measure quality

    Experience of Surgical Neonatal Nursing
    Knowledge of Neonatal Transport developments and strategic National Agenda

    Contact with patients in a clinical environment, regular contact with patients who are vulnerable to infection, contact with patients who are known to be infected, shift work including night duty, manual handling, regular hand hygiene exposing to skin sensitisers (exc latex)
