To be involved with all care aspects with elderly and orthopaedic patients. To provide basic care for patients on the ward. To assist the ward team to ensure high standards of care are met. To ensure holistic care is provided and and patients individual needs are met

The duties of a nursing assistant on ward 23 will involve caring for the patients, ensuring high standards of care are met with washing, dressing, bathing.

Also ensuring safety of the patients are met with regards to ensuring patients are monitored to reduce falls.

To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care.

To provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multi disciplinary team.

To maintain high clinical standards.

To help maintain a clean and safe ward environment.
