Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Working Weeks per Year: 38 weeks per year (Term Time)
Pay - £400 - £500 per week

Are you looking to work as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a Primary School, located in Lewisham.
We are excited to be recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants for a Primary school that are at the heart of their community.
We are seeking a dedicated, resourceful, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to inspire and support children in their daily school life.
Your role will focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs or those with care plans.
In this dynamic role, every day is a new and exciting challenge. We are looking for adaptable individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the class teacher to provide outstanding support for teaching and learning.
- Offering 1:1 and group support to children.
- Participating in educational trips with student groups.
- Assisting in assessment and documenting learning progress.
- Working alongside teachers to create engaging classroom displays and learning materials.
- Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all children.
- Creating opportunities for all children to reach their full potential, regardless of their abilities.
- Supporting children with special educational needs, with your daily tasks varying according to their individual needs. You'll need to use your initiative and remain calm in challenging situations.
- Making a profound social impact by positively influencing a child's life trajectory.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning in schools.
- A genuine passion for working with young people who require additional support to access education and develop socially.
- Ideally, previous experience in supporting children with SEND, particularly in ASD/SEMH interventions, such as sensory circuits and speech and language support.
- Proactive and positive, always striving to meet children's learning needs.
- The ability to build strong rapport with children.
- Dedication to the happiness, wellbeing, selfesteem, and progress of every member of our school community.
Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Pay:
£80.00-£100.00 per day
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Education:
- Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
