Job Title:
Attendance Officer


Location:
Secondary School in Croydon


Type:
Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

Hours: 8:15am - 4:15pm


Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and record student attendance on a daily basis
  • Implement strategies to improve student attendance and punctuality
  • Communicate with parents, guardians, and external agencies regarding attendance concerns
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and reports
  • Work closely with school staff to address attendance issues and support student welfare
  • Conduct home visits and followup on unexplained absences
  • Collaborate with the school's leadership team to develop and implement attendance policies and procedures
  • Provide support and guidance to students and families on attendance matters
  • Attend meetings and training sessions related to attendance monitoring and intervention

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to school attendance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and handle sensitive information with confidentiality

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
£14.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
