We are seeking a Technical Sales Consultant (Industry Process Consultant) to be part of our European multi-disciplinary team of tech sales specialists, who will support the Dassault Systèmes BIOVIA business related to Material Science positioning the Industry Solution Experiences.

The focus of work is in the Energy and Materials (e.g.

Chemicals, Oil and Gas) industry as well as in the Consumer Package Goods (Laundry, Beauty Care, Adhesives and food and beverage) industry.

Therefore, practical expertise and knowledge in lab operations and scientific data management on a formulation based research is a key requirement for this position.

What will your role be?

Understand and refine critical business issues to be able to strategically position the value of our offerings in the leading process industries.
Work with customers to ensure that current products and services meet their expectations.
Prepare and give presentations and product seminar tours at scientific conferences as needed.
Assist with responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).

The challenge ahead

Learn to work in a mutlidisciplinary team localized around the world.
Learn multiple BIOVIA software packages like BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot, Electronic Lab Notebooks and Laboratory Management Systems (BIOVIA Workbook/Notebook, Scientific Notebook and Formulation Designer, CISPro, Compose, Capture, Equipment, Sample, Task Planner).
Collect business requirements from scientists and transfer these into meaning full demonstrations the BIOVIA solutions; this will require configuring and extending these solutions to handle customer specific data and workflows.
Seek feedback to improve your work.
Learn to present your work, demonstrate strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, seek to leverage your technical, cheminformatics and scientific experience in a commercial business environment.

Your key success factors:

Master's degree or equivalent and significant experience in Chemical, Biological or Materials Science Research and Development.
Cheminformatics data management skills and expertise. Experience with Data Pipelining tools (ETL) like Pipeline Pilot or KNIME.
Strong expertise and experience in the concepts of data analytics and data modeling.
Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and be looking to further your professional career by leveraging your technical, cheminformatics and scientific experience in a commercial business environment.
Extensive travel is required for this role (up to 50% spent travelling), including overnight and international travel.
Fluency in English is essential, German and/or French language skills would be extremely beneficial.
