    Job Description

    As Head of Accountability and Product Communications at the PRI, you will be responsible for the delivery of PRI's existing Accountability initiatives, including the PRI's minimum requirements for investor membership and supporting the annual reporting process. You will drive the product strategy and deliver value to signatories while supporting the PRI's mission towards a sustainable financial system. Additionally, you will oversee the product communications (incl. editorial) team responsible for developing and executing the product communications strategy.

    The ideal candidate is passionate about ESG/sustainability and developing innovative solutions that help organisations make informed decisions and achieve their sustainability goals while at the same time supporting PRI's mission.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Work across the organisation including but not limited to Product Development, Data & Analytics, Marketing, Stakeholder Services, RI Ecosystems, Governance and Sustainable Systems teams to define the product strategy and the product roadmap based on user insights, landscape analysis and the PRI's strategic objectives.
    • Oversee the management of the product(s) through its lifecycle including the delivery of the PRI's minimum requirements for investor membership and lead on other existing or new accountability initiatives.
    • Identify key sustainability and ESG-related issues related to signatory accountability and lead in developing solutions to strengthen signatory accountability to the PRI.
    • Ensure enhanced features and functionality that address end-user needs are delivered in future product versions/iterations in alignment with the other products, features or initiatives in the product suite.
    • Oversee a team of product communications professionals who are responsible for product communications (incl. editorial) to ensure all product communications are aligned with PRI's mission, values and overall brand.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and External Affairs teams to ensure alignment with wider corporate communications and continuous improvement of external communications and relevant processes.
    • Lead collaboration efforts to develop product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
    • Oversee the monitoring and analysis of product communications metrics to continuously improve the effectiveness of our product communications strategies
    • Ensure continuous improvement in team processes that enhance product management including governance, roadmap delivery, user experience and value, and contribution to PRI's mission.
    • Manage and coach direct reports, ensuring they are motivated, engaged, and aligned with PRI's goals and values, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing, including facilitating their learning and development.
    • Support the Director of Product Management in delivering against the team's business plan and budget.
    • Provide regular reporting to the Director of Product Management and Director of Product Portfolio as required.

    Person Specification

    • Demonstrated people management skills (including providing feedback, challenge, and coaching) and the ability to manage a high-performing hybrid team.
    • Good knowledge and understanding of product management and the product lifecycle, preferably in financial, sustainability and/or ESG, SaaS, RaaS, data product environments.
    • Understanding of product communications, ideally within the financial services industry and demonstrable ability to develop successful product communications strategies.
    • Excellent project/programme management skills, with experience in delivering complex projects successfully to tight deadlines, managing conflicting priorities and acknowledging interdependencies, including directing others that may not be your direct reports.
    • Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills, including public speaking skills with the ability to give presentations, lead meetings, and communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • A collaborative and consultative approach to working with others & committed to fostering an inclusive environment, including good networking and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong and productive relationships.

    Ideally, we would like this contract to commence no later than 1 June 2024.
