    Description
    The MyAflac team are responsible for building and maintaining Aflac's highest profile application which directly serves policyholders needs.

    Customer experience is key, and the application allows customers to seamlessly place claims and track claims progress through to claim payment.

    2 million claims have been filed through this channel, with an expected growth of 30% per annum.

    The team's technology stack is primarily focused around Angular in the front exposing Aflac's claim submission and tracking processes to policyholders, along with Java SpringBoot micro services in the backend enabling the integration into the enterprise Integration bus that links to many of Aflac's systems and data sources.

    Hosting of MyAflac is split between public cloud (AWS) and on premise with the expectation that this will fully transition to AWS within the near future.

    We are looking for a passionate software engineer who wants to build customer-focused, responsive applications using Angular, Ionic, and other frameworks.

    We are building intelligent apps that bring together phenomenal UI Design with exceptional customer experience, and put the policyholder in control, improving the services they receive from Aflac.

    As part of our Agile teams, we will provide you with the opportunity to use the latest technology to serve our policyholders while applying your skills and working as part of an exciting team.

    Delivering high-quality, tested, secure customer-centric solutions for web & mobile platforms
    Unit testing and maximizing test automation as part of the SDLC using a Test Automation driven approach
    Working closely with product management and UX to take an idea from concept to delivery using excellent software design, coding, and processes
    Participating in daily stand-ups and contributing to an Agile development team that values the opinion of everyone in the team
    Passionate about building user interfaces that are easy to use and add value to the end customer
    Expert in Angular UI Development (or similar JS framework such as React, VueJs etc)
    Proven commercial experience with Java 8+, with a desire to understand and get involved across the full technology stack
    Some Experience of working with unit test frameworks such as Jest and Junit
    Experience integrating with restful API's to support front-end functionality
    Experience as a mobile app developer for either Android or iOS
    Experience deploying web applications to mobile platforms using Ionic
    Knowledge and experience of DevOps as part of Agile software development
    Experience of delivering Agile solutions for customers/clients located in different time zones
    Experience of implementing security standards meet privacy requirements for web/portal/mobile applications
    Experience with Containers and DevOps tools
    SQL & NoSQL databases, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Linux, Postman, Python, Test Automation (Robot Framework)
